I just don't know [:I] what some of you have been waiting for??? I've had STAGE 1 on my GT for a year now without any regrets whatsoever--just pure awesome performance!

Cal,

I'm glad you finally joined the Stage 1 club. I've felt the same way about it - should have been standard on the GT. One thing you can't experience with your 5-speed is that, in addition to the power increase, there is an equal improvement in the shift programming for the autostick. ... cracks off the shifts better than an SMG M3 in sport mode.

Glad to see that you are still posting here and retaining your enthusiasm for the PT GT. You add a lot of class to the joint! It seems that since stage 2 was cancelled there has been a loss of interest in these boards. Too bad. As you've noted, Stage 1 is all the tires can handle anyway.

I think many of us were waiting to see if Stage 2 would be available for the GT. I wasn't going to dump the money into S1 then pay again for S2. Well S2 never materialized, then I found the deal on the used S1 and the rest is history.

Stage 1 is no good when something breaks on the car and the dealer blames stage 1 and won't cover it under warranty.

Ahhhhh, but if you have a good dealer who won't blame everything on stage 1 it is a very good thing. I have such a dealer.

What was the reason for sending it to flight systems to reprogram it? Did the dealer program over it? Thanks.

When you buy a used stage 1 you need to have your VIN and mileage programmed into the used pcm.
