Intake Silencer Removal.
I have read other sites, and this one that have said to remove this little white tube inside the air filter box, is this okay to pass smog and will it affect the warranty at all? How do you do it? and what tools are required? E.T.C

I went out and looked at my pt, and looked inside the air box, removed the filter and noticed nothing but a foam thing, and where the air comes in (snorkal). But i put the filter back in and looked up top and saw a short white tower thing(looks like a tower at a nuclear plant) from where the air would go into the engine. Is that what you take out?

Yeah, it won't affect emissions. Besides, you won't have to do a smog test for 6 years if you plan on keeping it that long.
