The PCM will automotically learn cruise once it is added to the vehicle... in most cases when the Mopar accessory cruise is added the kit does not have the wire that completes the ground sense circuit. From pin 7 at your clock spring to connector 105 or from connector 105 to splice 172. In 75% of cases one of these two wires is missing and the pcm does not recieve the input at sensor ground 2 at connector 3 pin 17 at the pcm, not recognizing the cruise...

As far as the wiper turning off the cruise, it sounds like they have one of the grounds at the wrong pin. Tell the service manager you want the cruise removed, and reinstalled, or just removed and get your money back.

Any more help on this? Shouldn't the kit be made to bolt in to a base model PT since they sell it to the public?

As I look at a parts manula... The engine wiring harness is the same for all manual transmission models. The cruise parts (servo & cable, bracket for servo, vacuum resevoir and vacuum lines) don't differ much either (only the vacuum line is different and much cheaper for the 05). The only thing different at the steering wheel is the control switch and the clockspring. Though there are different steering wheel numbers for with and without cruise. I can't believe a kit online for $250 includes a new wheel. Any other help out there?

They have replaced the PCM and the cruise with a brand new one. They replaced the cruise one piece at a time. Still having problem and it's getting real frustrating because the rainy weather is starting.[:I]

Ya'll got a lemon law in your state?

Have you escalated to the Zone level yet? Sounds like you got a case of Incompetent Dealer Syndrome.

Thanks everyone for all of the advice that you sent me. It was to bad that nothing worked, so I went to the front office and the gave me a real good deal on a new 2006 PT Cruiser and now my cruise works when the wipers are turned on.
Thanks again [?]
