Default Moist PCV ?

Ok, it's been really hot...I've been driving hard (150 miles a day) for the last three days. Opened the hood to check things out. At this point I have to tell you, I have a very clean/dry engine compartment, and just changed the PCV valve about 2 months ago. I couldn't believe my eyes...not at the screw in side, but where the tube enters the hose, there was alot of oil. Doesn't happen around town, but this is the first time it ever happened. Car is an 01 with 45k miles. WHAT COULD IT BE? Thanks!

It must be that the hose over time has streched out/hardened and taken the shape of the original PVC nipple as its now "relaxed" shape. Loosey not tighty. Maybe you need a new hose or add a hose clamp where you didn't need one before. [:I]

I checked mine the other day, and it was on but a little
loose. I agree with the hose clamp idea.[8D]
