He has one on there for $229, so I e-mailed him an offer for that price. He called back and took my order. He will send me contact information that I will post here; their site is under construction still.

Yep, saw the one for $229.00 but with shipping it would come out to the same or more than the one for 243.50 with free shipping.

Any progress, Marc?

I just got my G-tech and tried it out on my commute to and from work. It was raining outside, but I was anxious. Here are some screen caps:

You can see the RPM does not work:

Here is some stuff that did work:

This may be off because of wheel slip..?

This looks right (I did hit 80, but traffic got in the way)

hehe, From 5-8 secs. there was a bend in the road.

LOL, I pushed the traction control beyond its limits, too...kinda disappointing actually; I thought I had it off, but did not.

This is a neat little gadget and they are about to release a firmware update. I and another guy volunteered to do data collection for them on a PT. Hopefully a firmware update will be all that is necessary.

Update:

I have been talking to the VP of R&D at Tesla. He sent me this cool spreadsheet that constructs the RPM data and torque curve fom a G-tech run's exported data. I will post some snapshots as soon as I find a proving ground to do some runs.

Also, he sent to me a data acquisition unit to capture the PT's electrical signature. I have just taken the snapshots and will send the unit back to them this Monday (Feb 9th).

They have cool forums, which seem to be the best way to interact with G-tech folks.

Have you since tinkered with yours, Marc?
