Default transmission

Hi
I have got a 2.4l classic -05 (bought it last week).
I wonder if there is a common problem with the transmission (manuel)?
When i start the car there is a knocking sound, I went back to Chrysler and they told me that it was from the transmission, now they will change the oil. If I wanted to they can change the whole transmission box (Im not sure of it is the right word).
I live in Sweden so the car is not so common here (I think they sell
about 200 st per year). I will be greatfull for any help!
Thank you
Lotta

Welcome.
Very few problems with manual.
Let them change oil - if it still knocks, make them give you a new transmission.

I have an '05 manual also, i may be low tranny oil, so that could very well fix it.
If nto like QSD said make them give you a new tranny.

Welcome aboard!!! [^] We assum that the warranty for the '05 is 7 years/70,000 miles. If so, the tranny should still be under DC warranty.

Welcome lotta! When I bought my 05 automatic, I to had tranny problems. The dealer replaced it with a brand new one without question. Hopefully it will go away with the fluid change.
