top end and exhaust

Default top end and exhaust

around 5500 rpms it feels like im losing power sort of like it is cutting out and i recently put a flowmaster exhaust on and something seems wrong is there a certain type of muffler you have to use with a turbo? and what would cause the engine to cut out ? what is the max. boost it could run at .it is a PT GT 2003 autostick thanks e -mail mtnbktrek@hotmail.com

Well our turbos aren't too efficient above 5500rpms anyways but you have absolutely the worse muffler you could put on a turbo. Sorry... Stay away from chambered mufflers. Its good to run a straight through design muffler like a borla or even better, run a straight pipe with some resonators and no muffler, better flow, and you can quiet it down some, it'll sound more like an srt-4.

The BTG exhaust is TRUE flow-thru - you can look thru each section. It has 3 resonators and sounds delightfully deep and I love the "burble" when you back off the gas.....
If you go for duals, they split the exhaust evenly with a "Y" pipe.[?]
