Default What plug is this?

I need to go to Auto Zone and rent one of their diagnostic scanners.I think i found the diagnostic port, which is under dash on left of steering column. But,I have another one on my 2003 PT,which is at the right of steering column down near the floor, attached to console area to the left of cigar's black and @1 inch wide w/a harness going to it,and a small cover w/2 dimples on it.What is this? My book shows nothing! I'm still trying to figure out why we get 1 chime,& dome light comes on when we make a left turn at speeds of 20 mph to 60 mph. Then dome light goes out in 3 secs.I put this question to general forum.A couple of people answered, saying it was doorjam switches.I tried everything they suggested.Could'nt duplicate problem! I tried opening a door with motor running & in gear.Only dome light comes on,but not a chime! I heard when computer sets a code, you get a Chime! I have also checked all fluid levels, especially brake fluid,ok. Could it be maybe gas tank sending unit? Thanks a Lot![:I]
