Default Code P0300

My check engine light came on today on my 2004 turbo pt. I have 30,000 miles on it. The code states a multiple misfire. About 2 months ago I installed the NGK Iridium pluge with magnacore wires. It is hard to beleive they are bad already...All the wires are not loose...any ideas...Has anybody had this code or have had problems with this thype plug....Seems to be running fine with no misfire except for its typical idle.......Thanks for yoy help.....

I had this same code come up on my PT. But my PT has the Jackson Racing Supercharger. Manufacturer sugested to run a colder degree spark plug. I had a tune up and installed the champion coper plus spark plugs that are made for the 04 PT turbo. The new spark plugs for 04 models superceeds the ones used on the 03 models. Iridium spark plugs are suposed to be better, but I bet when they were installed them the battery was not disconeted. Try disconecting your batter's neg. cable and leave it off for about 15min then re-attach it. This will clear the code and reset the MAP sensor which is giving your car a false code. If this still does not fix your problem, I would go back to the manufactures 04 PT Turbo coper plus plugs. Like I said, I had the same thing hapen to my PT, but it was only in 5th gear when the trotle body was wide open. Started showing that same code of a multiple misfire. Car ran fine, no misfire, it was a false code. I was using a MSD ignition coil pack at the time also. Dealership recomemded the colder runing spark plugs. Since then, the problem has disapeared. Hope this helps.
