Colby,
Had the intake off twice now to change the plugs and wires and never touched the gasket. Why do you think you need a new one?

Carey,
I want to change something else kinda sorta. I just wanted to replace since I'm going to be doing the plugs and wires a second time now at 48,000. Also, Check out my reply in the "Sudden loss of power(need tune up?)" topic.

OK, see what you mean. I didn't get involved with that thread. Probably someone screwed up the gasket 20,000 miles ago at his last tune-up and it's just starting to leak on him.

I'm going to the dealer tonight to check out that part in there service department. If it seems like something I can do I will, otherwise I will leave it alone. As if the plugs and wires aren't already hard enough. I believe this is the part the you have to unbolt from the bottom half and lift up to get to the plugs and wires. I think the gasket is in between there, not sure, never really cared till now.
Thanks guys.

Colby,
I think you and the guy who had the leak in the other thread are talking about the "Valve Cover". Like this (only this ones for the Turbo) The gasket for that, and I believe there's a couple parts to that gasket, would let oil get into places that it shouldn't.

No I meant the rubber pieces in the intake manifold (upper) portion of. When you change the plugs, look under neath that piece that has the 5 bolts and you will see 4 small rubber pieces, orange/red, those. I bought them but really didn't need them after all, but have them in case something does happen. Thanks

Yeah, pretty much, thats all it really is with some fattening areas in it. I paid like 32 out the door for them. Crap if you ask me.
