Idling Hesitation

hey, i have had all the same symptoms that everyone else is describing. i replaced the plugs and wires. checked all the vaccuum hoses and made sure everything was tightly plugged in. nothing worked, so i took it to the mechanic and he told me to come back the next day. as i was driving back, the problem stopped! it has done that before, it idles rough, and then all of a sudden it is good again. any ideas?

I had a similar problem at close to the same mileage. It was recommended to me to try some fuel injector cleaner. I added Chevron Techron injector cleaner and my problem has not re-appeared since.

I beg to differ. I have an 04 touring edition with 2.4L. It has been tune and retuned... transmission checked... still.... it hesitates violently almost choking off if you press the accelerator. It also will get you out in traffic and choke off if you stop at a traffic light. The dealership can't find anything wrong with it... I really believe they know what is causing these problems but are waiting until the warranty is gone..... No error codes, nor any other problem except giving you heart failure when you caught in traffic....

OK, you might try looking at or searching the other threads for the same problem...
