Hahn Stage 1 guys are running 8psi with no problems WITHOUT engine modifications. If you want to up the boost you need to do pistons and rods, and it probably wouldn't hurt to put new gaskets in either. You also need to beef up tranny, or get a new clutch if it's a 5 speed.

I'd certainly agree, the Hahn kit is a good way to go but unfortenately, Hahn doesn't have the smog certifications which are required in some states like California. If that isn't a problem, then I'd say go for it!

I run a Whipple Supercharger. Initially, I had some problems with engine malfunction codes and blowing belts. I upgraded Whipples tensioner kit and the problem was solved. Another issue is the air-fuel mixture was never right...runs in the 10's before signaling "rich." Inorder to solve this problem, you need to get a dyno run report, send the report to Whipple along with their computer and get it reprogrammed so you can run 11:0, 11:5 air fuel ratio.

Again, you're not going to break any speed records with the Whipple but you can move in and out of traffic with ease. Gas mileage ain't all that shabby. [8D]
