Default engine hesitating

My 2005 conv. turbo lite has started to hesitate when having to pass another car and having to put the throttle anywhere from 1/2 to full throttle. My PT now has 19000 miles. Also notice timing ping when car is messing up. I always run Shell Gas because it is "TOP TIER" rated. Notice it above 3000 RPM when the Turbo should be coming on line. Do you think it could be Spark plug wires? I will be taking it to dealer for Oil Change soon. Free oil changes for 36000 Miles or I would do it my self.

If i stay below 3000 rpm no hesitation, it only happens under hard acceleration after 3000rpm, this problem just started. if i slowly accelerate it does not happen at all. I forgot to add the Check engine light started flashing for about 5 seconds once when i was merging onto the interstate. but the light went out. I call the dealer and they said if the light doesn't come back on don't worry, but since that happened i have noticed the hesitation.

Change your plugs. My 04 did the same thing. From what i've read and experienced some PT's will go through plugs every 30000km or so. Mine has 80000km on it and i'm on my forth set. After I got the stage 1 I put in the requested NGK plugs and find I have to change them even more frequently. Good thing they are easy to get at. Haven't found an answer why but I've talked to a few people with the same problem.

The check engine light came on and stayed on. So I took it to the Dealer and they said the number one spark plug wire was going bad so they replaced all the plug wires and spark plugs under warranty. I pick up the car later today and will let you know if that does not fix it. Thanks for everyone's help.

Betcha that will cure it - for a while. If they put in stock crap, it just doesn't last. I got stumbling on mine and check engine - misfire cyl # 2 - I put in Crane wires and Champion Irridium plugs - runs sweet...
Happened at less than 19,000 miles.[:0]

OH MY GOD!!!! What a difference that made. It feels like it did when it was new. The performance must have dropped of gradually that I did not notice it. Now when it gets on the turbo, hold on. Thanks again for everyones help.
