Default Fram Air Hog Filters

I see that Fram has a high flow air filter called Air Hog. Their description of it sounds pretty much the same as the K&N drop-in air filter. I called my local AutoZone to find out if there is an Air Hog filter for the PT, and after 15 minutes on hold, the guy came back on the phone to tell me "I don't know if they make one for the PT, I don't have the applications book in front of me." Nice, ha?!!
I was wondering if anyone knows if they make a drop in Air Hog filter for a non-turbo PT, and if anyone has installed one and how it is compared to a K&N drop in.
Thanks.

According to the main site (search from Google), there's no Air Hog for the PT Cruiser.[:I]

They are advertising the heck out of this (hate the ad) and also jumping on the bandwagon a bit late with their K&N wannabe. I wouldn't spend any money for those reasons. It's a big company's (slow) knee-jerk reaction to a small co. taking a bite out of the market. Fram used to be a quality name. Take a look at any oil filter comparison and you will see what the current management thinks of that name....

Thanks for the advice, I've decided to send for the K&N drop in filter. Now for a question about the air box silencer, (see my new post).
Thanks

I agree - they USED to be a good brand, then they were bought out, and the name is slapped on crap. It's the WalMart/KMart special now.
I dunno about the AirHog, but I'll stick with K&N.

Hi there, I know this is thread is very old but just want to have more information about performance air filter. I have heard that they have a good quality air filters. Do you have any idea for the price of their air filters? Thanks for the advice.

The K&N drop-in filter runs around $36.00
