Default Change FROM stock fuel injectors

I am looking for a performance improvement on my 2003 non-turbo PT. I have already done the intake filter swap and the flowmaster catback system along with a JET chip. Now, what about the value of changing out the stock fuel injectors for a set of 24lb injectors? What are the stock injectors rated at anyway? Has anyone else done this, and if so, what were the results. I can get a set of 4 injectors for around 200 bucks rated at 24lbs.
Thanks,
Scott

Don't think it'd do squat for performance - you're getting enough fuel.
What has been proven to help is a turbo intake - they flow better. The aluminum intake can be gotten cheap (used), as many have upgraded to the new plastic turbo intake, and those flow even better.
You will have to make a few brackets to suport stuff that hangs off the current manifold.

Agreed with quicksilver, injectors aren't going to add much, just take more money from the wallet. Have you considered solid motor mounts? Underdrive pulley? The solid motor mounts are about $30 and worth every penny. I also have an 03' non-turbo, and the motor mounts made the biggest difference vesus the intake and exhaust. Also take a look at new plugs and wires. The new GT manifold is something else to consider, along with a 4-2-1 header.

Can you elaborate on the solid motor mounts? How would that improve performance? [:I]

The solid motor mount inserts reduce the flex in the motor mounts. What it basically does is send more power to the wheels than throughout the chasis. The regular OEM mounts are meant to flex to a certain extent to reduce vibration and improve overall comfort in driving. The only negative thing the mounts do (and to some it's a positive) is add a little more cabin noise and vibration. What the drive will notice when driving is that the car will pull harder, and there is less hesitation when accelerating. The Turbo guys are knocking off several tenths in their 1/4 mile runs with the inserts.

Solid motor mounts..... What kind of cost are we talking? How difficult to install? How much extra noise and vibration? On a non turbo PT, what kind of performance improvement is realized?

Has anyone found anther supplier that makes the 4-2-1 header other than Heidmann? I have not heard anything good about the qualit of their product. Split welds, poor fits, quality control befitting chucky cheese. The 4-2-1 would help low to mid range, where I need it the most.

That's the amazing thing about the motor mount inserts, they're about $30 for a set to do both the upper and lower mounts. There is just a slight interior vibration, really not that noticeable after you sit in it a couple times. The noise just makes the exhaust a touch louder. Performance-wise, it pulls harder and stronger, takes away the hesitation. I'm honestly not sure if a dyno would show you a difference, but you can definitely feel a difference. More power to the ground is what they basically accomplish. For 30 bucks it's well worth it. The install isn't too bad, you just need an extra set of hands to get the mount out and get the inserts in.

Edelbrock makes a 4-2-1 header.. and I have heard both positive and negative about hedmann, mostly positive though. Summit racing has the Edelbrock header for $270 and the Hedmann for $240.

Snakepitt, forgot to add this to my post, www.modernperformance.com has the motor mount inserts, look under Dodge SRT-4 for them. Both the PT and SRT use the same mounts. For $30 bucks it's almost a steal, if you aren't happy with them, I'll buy them off of you, I still have to do the lower mount.

I tried both the Headman 4-2-1 headers and JBA 4-1 headers and preferred the JBA's when I had my N/A PT. The 4-2-1 design had more low-end power but the 4-1 had better high-end power. Also, the welds failed on the Headman's but no trouble with the JBA's. My JBA's also had the titanium coating.
