I've got 'em. Did I need them? Heck No! Were they cheap? Heck No! What did I get out of them? GREAT stopping power! Maybe 90% REDUCTION in brake dust! HELLA BLING!

But, then, I've got a lot of stuff on my car that I don't NEED, and that wasn't cheap, but what the heck, you only live once, and I want my car to be the best that it can be that I can afford, so why not?

I agree with you 100%...If you have the money and just want it because you want it...go for it...

I put on Green Stuff (EBC) rotors and pads up front. They do make a difference, and since the O.E. rotors wear out in 40K spending $20 or $30 more for permium quality rotors that will not have to be replaced every 40K is still a good buy. Stopping distances, brake dust, and fade resistance all much better (I now have 60k on the EBC rotors without problems and I am as happy today with teh performance as in the beginning).

P.S. It took about 45 Minutes to replace both rotors and pads in the driveway.
