You should really have the entire system flushed. A portion of the old fluid will still be in the torque convertor. Then you end up mixing old fluid with new fluid. Only use ATF+4. Sorry I don't have more helpfull info for you.
Good luck[^]

Does Fram really make a transaxle filter for the PT? I'd stick with an OEM filter if I were you. Chrysler's trans is a weak point to begin with, no sence using an off brand in there. Also, OurPTGT is right about doing the full flush. It will costs more becuase I don't think you can do it yourself, but well worth the cost.

have the whole tranny flushed out, its the best thing you can do, and you cant do it yourself at least not without taking the whole tranny out

Hey thanks guys for the info..i guess ill take it to the dealer and have them flush the system out. I knew that if i did it myself that i would have some residual fluid left in the trans but i figured it would be better than nothing...Thanks guys.

I know i say it over and over again, but i am SO glad we opted for the manual transmission. With that said, i remember taking our dodge caravan and having that done. it cost us $100.00
