Weird Noise

I was wondering if this is a problem or if I am just being overly cautious.
Every once in a while when I make a sharp right hand turn I hear a weird noise from the front end it kind of sounds like a coil spring popping in and out of its mount.I know that I have struts not springs but I wanted to know if anybody else has heard this noise.I went back to the dealer and he kept it for two days and said that he(mechanic)could not find anything wrong in my front end and I was probably just being overly sensitive to noises relating to the road.

I had a similar noise in the wheels arch in fast (and furious) driving.In the front wheel arch, there is a thick plastic protection with a hole to let the suspension pass.I have to make this hole bigger to avoid a contact with the spring.I do it both sides with a jig saw and have no more problems.

how are you driving when you here the noise ?? taking corners fast ?? or just under normal conitions ??

Your cv joints are going out...... You will need to replace them.

had them changed on wifes pt as it was making a popping sound it was still covered under the warrenty also

Finally after several weeks I found out what the problem was and it was so simple I overlooked it, a Tire was out of balance,not bad but enough that when I went over bumps or changed road grades(street to driveway)it was making weird noises.The worst part is after several trips to the dealership they didnt figure this out,It was a local pep boys out by where i work,when I went in to have a flat plugged,that fixed it.

That would not make the sounds you were decsribing. Did the balance take care of it...I think you still may have something else going on...

To me anyway thats what it sounded like, i was typing up that post quickly... I forgot to add the words... "I think it may be"
