Default Chrysler emissions warranty question

I know we have some Chrysler techs here and I was wondering about the emissions warranty.
Our 03 PT has had the engine light come on twice in the last month. Both times a couple days after getting gas. I did the key thing and it showed code P0441. I checked the code list here and it appeared to be the gas cap problem. I know this is common and just took it off and put it back. Couple 3 days later light off. After last fill up light came on again, same code but playing with cap did not put light out. Its been a week. Called dealer and they told me I had to buy a cap for 20 bucks. I asked about emissions warranty and they told me to bring it in. We are Tuesday.
I thought emission related equipment was covered for 5 yrs or 50,000 miles. We are 3 yrs and 23000. If it needs a cap I have no problem buying one but I just want to make sure it is not something else. Our car was bought 6-30-03 so we should be under the 3 yr mark anyway.
Thanks for any info in advance.

Just found out its 2yrs 24000 unless its a major emissions component. Gas caps are not. I will let dealer check it just to be sure nothing major is going bad.
Major stuff is covered 8yrs 80000.

Well the dealer fixed it and almost a year later to the day its back. Same code same deal. I am going to check the hoses that go to the purge valve and see if they are cracked or plugged before I call the dealer. I wish I would have payed more attention to what they did the first time.

I didn't have to do anything. It took a couple weeks but it went out on its own. I was calling the dealer the next day and my wife came home and said light went out that night. I think maybe the overfilled the tank or something. I told to stop using that gas station.
