The spare tire will give ya a few less pounds. That could mean the one in the rear or around your waist depending on your view.

If your really serious, getting rid of the front and rear bumper with aftermarket pieces could save a bunch. Just don't hit anything. []

Quite a few pounds with both the bumpers replaced. You just don't have the protection anymore if someone runs into you with most of the aftermarket replacements.

A word of warning: The APC stuff is nice, but most owners that used their stuff complained that it took a lot of work to make the APC fit right. The shops had to work twice as much to get all the parts to line up correctly plus more time to prep the finish for painting than the other aftermarket bumpers and roll pans.

I've gone with some 17 inch voxx wheels and it wasn't a weight loss or weight gain, it's hard to beat the stock little steal rims on cars unless you go with BBS or something really expensive. thanks for the Warning Crewzin. Maybe I will be looking for another front bumper. Since I do all the work on my cruiser myself.

Take out the jack as well. If you really want to save some weight and comfort isn't that big a deal, take out the speakers, radio, AC, and associated components. A lighter battery would help to, and moving it to the back will help with weight balance. Also, look at an underdrive pulley. It sheds weight, yes, but adding horsepower is what it's really meant for.

If you go APC you won't save a damn thing...the front bumper goes directly over the stock bumper as a cover so you'd be adding weight. You really won't see any significant gains on the rear since all you're doing is taking out a big peice of foam...but atleast the car will look good lol.

Is this a race car or something?? The Pt Cruiser is a heavy car for it size, very heavy. Even if you dropped 300lbs, it'll still be around the 3,000lb mark and you'll hardly notice a difference. IMO, I think it's a stupid idea to remove your spare tire and jack..... hope you have AAA.
