This isn't normal cycling is it?
The AC compressor cycles on and off routinely. When the compressor cycles off, the airflow gets a little warmer. As it cycles off and on, it has a noticible effect on the engine, causing occasional 'stumbles' as the idleing engine reacts to the change in the load.

Another time you will notice the AC get warmer is under Wide-Open-Throttle. If you got it floored, the AC compressor will cut out to deliver max power to the wheels (and simultaneously reduce the load on the cooling system).

Not really i have a 2004 PT Touring Edition with a turbo and it has been in the mid 90s for the past week here in Louisville with the dew point in the lower 70s. If I put my A/C in the Recuculate Mode while I am driving It will give me a center vent temperatures range from 36 to 40 degrees. That is with a digital cooking thermometer....

Pressure issue?? Any ideas so I dont get taken at the repair shop,,thanks again,,,,,MJB [xx(]
