Changed to a 40te in 05 in all the NONTURBO PT's. Anything with a snail still gets the 41te. The difference, the 40te is not as strong as the 41te. Yeah, like the 41te is so bulletproof!

So has everyone that has tranny problems let the good people at Chrysler know how happy you are?
I know I am going to...not that it will do any good but at least I can vent
I let them know about the terrible tape marks on my bumpers and they didn't care....and it was still under warranty then
So what is an average cost of a rebuild on a transmission and are they better when rebuilt?
Mine is in getting ripped apart now.

with the the terrible tape marks on the bumpers, my wifes 02 had them went to the dealership and the changed them out no questions asked, did you just call chrysler or go to the dealership??

The tape marks have been shown to the dealer and an email to Chrysler and the reply was oh we are sorry but that is not covered, it should come off
If I didn't like this car so much it would be gone in a heart beat,I have been driving my daughters car and a few other borrowed cars and I can't stand driving them after being in the PT[:I] Most seem like you are sitting on the floor[:I] They just aren't comfiey No leg room...steering wheel to low, seats are terrible...etc
I would have bought the standard shift,( I liked the color better) but I had two daughters that just started to drive and I didn't want to be replacing the clutch...but if I decide to get another one someday it will be a standard[8)][8)]

My '02 with the tape marks were repainted twice under WARRENTY!!! No questions asked.
