Default Darn

Well, for the first time in it's life, I have to take the cruiser in, It has this "tick" sound that goes with the RPM of the engine. It also has a very rough idle like when you are letting the clutch out to fast, it dips down and then shoots back up. I am now running over to race and street to get those plugs and wires bookmarked. NO WAY am I letting them put those

wires back on my car. [?][xx(]

How many miles? My wires started to go on my '05 before 20,000 miles!
Plugs & wires can never hurt, but only way they'll cause noise is if wires are arcing and you could hear it, which I suspect would give you a misfire error code.
Read this tech bulletin:
09-007-04 03/02/2004 Engine & Engine Cooling:Engine -
Irregular Engine Snapping Sound

OVERVIEW: This bulletin involves chamfering the bore
radius on cam bearing caps L2 through L5 and R2 through R5.

NOTE: This bulletin applies to vehicles equipped with a
2.0L, 2.4L DOHC, or 2.4L Turbo engine (sales code ECC,
EDZ, ED1, EDV, ED2, or EDT).

SYMPTOM/CONDITION: The sound may be noticed when the
engine is idling in park between idle rpm and 1400 rpm at
normal operating temperature. The sound is on the upper
end of the engine (cylinder head) towards the front of the
engine or passenger side (right side). The sound is
irregular, not periodic or harmonious. The frequency of
the sound will increase with RPM. The sound is more of a
higher pitch snapping noise, not a low metallic knock.

Ah I never got around to taking it in. They ran some checks when I took it in for it's little oil change, they said it's fine. To me, it always sounds better after an oil change. If any thing develops, I will post it up.
