Default Turbo plastic manifold on N/A PT?

Has anyone tried installing the Turbo plastic manifold on a stock NA PT? The wife liked the NA PT that I have been renting until my GT is out of the body shop. If the manifold change will work, then I wouldn't have to pull the manifold each time to change the plugs and plug wires, and it probably flows better.I was really surprised that she liked driving it so much as she has a heavy foot, and she was happy with the performance.

Absolutely no reason it won't fit - some have put the aluminum manifolds from the turbo on N/As. What you would have to look at is anything "hung" off the manifold and rig up clips/brackets for different manifold.

No ones tried it yet but it's just a matter of time. It will reposition your throttle body a bit so you might have to also use an intake pipe designed for a turbo.

When I removed my aluminum manifold on my GT and installed the plastic manifold I noticed an EGR port that wasn't drilled thru. I figured that feature was for a N/A PT. I caan't figure out why Chrysler didn't dump the old manifold for their newer version that would make it easier to change plugs and wires for both their maintenance personel and the owner.

The usual reason: It is cheaper.
The goal is not to make it inexpensive to own.
The goal is to make it profitable to sell.

Every one of these annoying little cheap-outs that DC did to the PT will be in my mind when the time comes to replace the Wee Beastie.

Mazdaspeed vs Caliber SRT? Hmmmm.
I may just decide based on which one has less cheap hard plastic in the interior door panels, and which one is easier to service.
