Default seat interchange?

A very tall friend bought a 2006 PT cruiser, but the 6way power seat is way too tall for her. Will an earlier 6way power seat mechanism fit and lower the seat? Is there any other way to lower the seat several inches?

I doubt they changed the mounting points, but the harness connector MAY have changed. The 6-ways are taller than standard seats. I'm 6'4.5" and fit okay in my 04, but didn't like the seat in a rental 06. Have your friend try sitting in an earlier one and find out if it makes enough difference to be worth searching for earlier seats. I haven't heard of any aftermarket seats that swap out, due to the body stiffener that is across the body where the rear of the seats bolt on. Good Luck

Thanks; she owned a '04 and she fit fine in that; I'd like to know whether a '04 6way mechanism will swap under the '06 seat and still fit the floor and the seat - the connector isn't much of a problem, but the floor contours are. She'd like to keep the new seat to match the interior, just lower it 4" or so.
