Is there anything special about hooking up trailer wiring to a 2006 PT? My friend has a 2006 PT; shortly after hooking up the trailer she lost the rear lights - the dealer blamed it on a control module. Is this module vunerable to the extra load of a few trailer lights, or was it likely just a random failure?

I don't know what the factory module is rated at if its a factory tow package, but in the aftermarket they make different modules for different amp draws as in more lights
Or if somebody hooked up the trailer connections without using a module that could be the problem. I know they don't make a T connector for the cruiser and I think it's because they need the module. You could purchase a module if needed, search the web for Modulite I also purchased the, module connection to the battery kit |
