Strange.. My '05 at 21,000 had to have the whole tranny rebuilt.. Seems that their is a manual transmission gremlin too. Keep us posted on that, I honestly don't think your clutch is out... That would just be to strange. I can't tell you how much abuse I put on mine (including teaching 3 people how to drive standard on it) and it works fine...

Thanks for all your great responses. I will indeed take a look the standard tranmission site. I did pick up the car on Friday and it does seem to be running fine but only time will tell. I will keep you all posted as I hear from Chrysler.

After speaking to Chrysler Customer Service last week I had not heard anything from Chrysler in a few days, so I decided to email them. After a day or two I received a response to the email that was not very favorable. As I was responding to the email, I received a call from a Chrysler representative indicating that my situation was not handled properly and he requested I send him a copy of the work order as well as a receipt of payment. Not sure what all this means but at least they are researching the issue.

Received a call from Chrysler and they are going to reimbursh me for the cost of the repair. Although, I'm still dissappointed in the dealership for not supporting me in this issue. I still think it has something to do with me not purchasing my PT Cruiser there. I will not mention the name of dealership as I am not sure of the rules for name dropping.

The rules? There are no rules.
Feel free to praise and / or denounce dealers, suppliers, etc.
Be prepared to back up your position.

A lot of us have stealer horror stories.
