While i was driving, suddenly the radio unit went off. Nothing is displayed as well as teh on/off button does not work. only the equalizer small 3 yellow lights are blinking. I took to a normal worksyop that can check for fuses etc...all the fuses seem to be ok. However, when the mech took the radio fuse out to see, suddenly teh MIL light came on (steady).
So i did the self test, and these codes came out: 0645, 1489, and 1495 does these codes make sense? i think its got to do with some electrical circuit got shot or sumthing. anybody can help, or can share similar experience? this is the first time the MIL light came on in the past 1.5 years, prior to this was a different owner. |

Hope this helps: http://www.ptcruizer.com/computer-codes.html
645 A/C clutch relay circuit problem. 1489 High speed radiator fan control circuit problem. 1495 Leak Detection Pump (LDP) pressure switch problem - the solenoid circuit. Not sure what this has to do with radio. [:I] |

Wow - a 2-year old thread...
Try tilting the steering column - some found it only does it in certain positions...

Not that it's going to help...but you aren't the only one:
2001 Chrysler Sebring radio flashes and stops working -- [ CarComplaints.com ] And here's a "pay" site with same problems (no answers) My 2001 Chrysler Town & Country continues to have blinking radio - JustAnswer They are all over the place.... Radio doesn't work after battery change - Topix radio problem - Topix I did find one answer in my search. A mechanic was looking into a radio problem similar to yours on a Chrysler Van. He said he traced the wiring diagram and found that the radio went threw the BCM (Body Control Module) and it could be that the BCM for some reason when the battery was changed (radio still on) it sent some sort of false signal so now the BCM thinks there's no connection from the radio. You have power (blinking lights) but the BCM isn't allowing the radio to come on. Unfortunately, the person having the problem didn't post an answer so can't tell if this is a valid fix for your problem.
