Error code P0442 comes and goes, why does it stop lighting up the check engine with no repair.

P0442 A leak has been detected in the evaporative system!

Probably a loose connections or a pin hole in a vacuum line. Movement may correct the problem for a short time.

Would a bad gas cap cause this?
Where would I find the vacum hose that you are talking about?
