Hello, Im a newbie to this forum, and would like to ask for some advice please.
I have searched but connot find anything to correspond to my question. I have owned a 2002/ 2.2 / crd for around 6 months now. I have never had any problems up to now. ![]() I had noticed the clutch giving a slight judder now and then, and then the inevitable happend of course, and it packed in. The slave cylinder has been leaking, which i am going to change. aswell as the clutch. (be silly not to while the box is out) However i am in a situation where i can fix this myself, and after calling around for parts soon came to relise that i can only get the parts from chysler. ![]() I found this even stranger as when i took the g/box out. It was an L/uk clutch. and an AP slave cylinder. Our motoring suppliers do not list any clutch parts for the pt, and have said that L/uk will only supply chryser. sorry for blabbing on, but my question is. This is a Mercedes engine. Is it also a Mercedes g/box? And if so, has anyone ever done part numbers etc. I have my local motoring supplier trying to find out more at the moment, as they can supply me with merc parts ![]() ![]() I just wondered if anyone could shed some light, incase they dont come up with anything. thanks in advance for any help Gordon (UK) Ps. there isnt a problem getting them from Chrysler, only it takes to long! and costs to much! ![]() |

slowboat,
The original poster (who posted back in May 07) never received an answer to his questions and never posted again. He was from Scotland (you didn't fill out your profile so I'm not sure where your from) and probably 98% of the forum members are from the U.S. His 2.2 CRD is only built in Europe as we have no diesel PT's in the United States and the only engine available here is the 2.4 liter non-diesel. Not sure if the standard shift tranny is different or not but would put some people off in answering any questions if they thought is was different. Last edited by CREWZIN; 21 Nov 2007 at 01:35 pm. |
