First Question concerning Tune-up Items

Ok I have read alot about the factory plugs and wires being pretty poor and the need for a better Air intake filter and/or system. Our PT is the base non-turbo 2.4 with the 5 speed, she just turned 19,000 miles. We calculated our first tank at 23 mpg with a mixed driving load, heavy in city (60%) stop and go rush hour traffic with the A/C on. Not bad in my opinion. I will be doing a tune-up at 20k, this is what I am thinking: Good wires probably the Crane Firewires (pretty fair price) Bosch Platinum 4 plugs, (I run those in my van and have gotten killer life from them) I am also a big fan of NGK's (I run them in my Satellite at the drag strip) and a K&N drop in air filter. My only real question is the plugs, being a non-turbo do I need to run the iridium or platinum stuff, being that we are not talking performance issues. Just looking for something that may improve mileage a little. I will probably take everyones advice and run 2-4 psi more in my tires. I see a lot of talk and opinions on this. The reason I am bringing this up again is that I can not decipher if you guys are talking about the turbo or non-turbo cars. All advice and opinions will be carefully weighed and I will post my final tune-up package when done.

I have a NA and used Champion Platnium 7440 plugs (gapped .040), MOPAR Preformance wires. I also used dialetric grease on the wire ends & anti sieze on the plugs. Torquing the plugs to 13 ft lbs and intake manifold to 105 in lbs.
Manifold is torqued 5-3-1-2-4. Hope that answers your questions.

Crane wires are good choice. The wires are poor, the Champ plugs are okay. Only benefit of platinum or irridium is longevity - they'll last longer than copper. No performance benefit. There is a tech service bulletin that says to gap at 0.040, not 0.050 like is in the manual.
