Default Engine Ground Strap Location???

As I was doing my tune-up today I was taking a good look in the engine compartment to make sure all hoses and connections looked good and were in place. While doing this I noticed that my engine to chassis ground strap was just dangling, I did a quick once over and couldn't find any obvious ground location. Does anyone know where this bolts to and maybe even have a picture you could post. This is a 2005 non turbo. BTW tune-up was Crane wires, Bosch platinum 4's and a K&N Drop in. A noticeable improvement in idle and acceleration. Thanks for all the tune-up tips, you guys are great.

Clay & Kimberly,

It's been a long time since I put on my "Hyper-Grounding" wires so I'll have to take a guess but I think the original grounding strap went to a bolt on the inner fender next to the shock tower on the drivers side, right above the hole where the snorkel from the air filter goes.

A lot of us did the "Hyper-Grounding" thing when it was successful in curing lighting and other problems related to grounding of the engine. There's kits you can buy already made up but some of the owners made their own to save money. Basically, Hyper-Grounding is running a number of grounding wires from the negative battery terminal to several different parts of the engine and surrounding eauipment including the computer.

Here's a picture of mine with 3 of the grounding wires (with asterisks) shown. One to side of inner liner, one to computer bolt and one to side of engine.
