I ve had BF Goodrich Traction TA's for a year or so now nice and quiet great traction in the dry and wet and pretty good in snow. Aguy at work had Goodyear's snow tire (I dont know which one) I got through deeper snow and made it to the parking lot than he did. He has a Chevy Cavilier. Yeah I like my TA's !

Anyone here tried any Nexen tires. They're a cheaper tire but from everything I can turn up, they are a very decent tire. It's hard to find a decent mileage tire in a 225/235-45-17 (I've decided on 17's instead of 18's) that doesn't cost a fortune!

I also found a General Exclaim UMP that has gotten awesome reviews at Tirerack for about $77 before shipping.

Several of my friends have them on their PTs and I have a set on an older Camaro that I really like.
I have Ziex 512's on my Sebring LXi and our '03 PT GT. They have been great performers and these Ozark Mountain hills can really test a tire. The only caution I would give is to keep your aspect ratio under 50. If the sidewall gets to tall they tend to wander a bit.

What size do you have on the GT? Are they factory wheels? I've gotten some GT wheels to put on my little cruiser and wondered if anyone had defied the tire God's and installed a 45 series tire on the factory rims.

Stay away from the Stock BADYEARS, I had good luck with Toyo's however they are a very high performance tire and will not give high mileage. I have Michelins on 2 cars which have lasted very well. My 4x4 (Sammy ) runs on Mickey Thompson's ) they are the best off road tire. Rounding out our Fleet of cars the other Ford I fitted out with Hankook tires they are also decent

Run them on my 2000 Inferno Red Grand Caravan Sport, quite like them. I ended up putting 225/60/R16's on to replace the original 205/65/R16 stock tires. Much better ride, handling and looks.

Well I replaced my stock 205/55/R16 Good Years on my Convertible with a 225/60/R16 Toyo Proxes 4 High Performance Tires and I was very impressed with the improvement in the ride, handling, perfomance and looks. Just my thoughts though, as someone commented this is one of those threads that could be debated ad nauseum.

Regards
Terry
