Default looking for speed

So i crashed my car yesterday. Hoping to get it back soon. But i really want to upgrade under the hood when i get it back. What are the best ways to do that without getting the turbo kit? I just cant afford to get the turbo kit. My car has the 1.4 liter i think, its a 2001 pt cruiser. Its completely stock under the hood.

You are kind of stuck with the 2.4 na engine. Intake and exhaust aren't going to give you anything you can even feel though you'll have a nice sound. A header won't give you much at all either. Been through all of that on my '01. About the only thing you can do for a little more grunt is the Kenne Bell Optimizer II. I haven't heard of anybody who has been disappointed in that. You have to send in your pcm and that's a 3 day turn around. You can't ever let the dealer flash your pcm or you'll go back to stock, but with an '01 you should be safe from that.
