Exclamation Remedy for a P0551 Code

Hey guys, My check engine light came on recently and so I ran the on, off, on, off, on test and it came up with -
P0551 Power Steering Pressure Sensor Circuit Range/Performance
. Just wondering what the problem is exactly and if its something simple I can take care of or if I should put it in the shop. Thanks in advance!

By the way, nice forum. I post on a football forum,, and they use the vbulletin style message boards so I'm kind of familiar and it makes me feel more at home.

HI, I can't remember if mine was the same or not, It was the power steering pressure switch. And that's a very easy fix but you have to go get one at the dealer and it's like 30 bucks. But make sure you buy one first then you know what it looks like. To replace it you have to jack up the car, mainly on the drivers side and use jack stands or blocks...NEVER trust a jack. But the switch is on the drivers side behind the transmission on the steering rack. It's easy to find, nothing has to be removed in order to see it but have the new one in hand.
