20 hp for $25. 35 hp for $8. Sounds way to good to be true.

Those aren't "chips", no matter what it says. They are resistors that connect to the IAC and fool the computer to think there's cold air coming into the throttle body. The computer adds more fuel and advances the timing a bit. You get the same affect when you drive your car in the morning with the cooler air than in the heat of the day. The "chip"/"resistor"/"module" (whatever they want to call it)is connected all the time so even at idle, the computer is feeding more fuel into the engine so down goes your gas mileage.
...and as MG already said; too good to be true! The numbers are exaggerated.

I'm looking into something now on another forum. Appearently someone has found a way of getting into Chrysler's programming and can re-program your own computer for a steep price. Will keep looking at it until I have all the facts.

Jet Performance PT Cruiser Computer Chip Module - AutoTruckToys.com
Same story with this module? I've known lots of people to put chips in their cars and it makes a difference. My friend has a TDI jetta and i know a guy with an N/A A4 and they both put chips in their cars and it made a difference. Why would it be any different for my PT? |
