Mine (2006) has been doing the same thing for the last 2 months or so.
I'm taking it to the dealer for the first time next week. Let us know what you find out eventually; I'll update you if I get an answer sooner. Thanks! |

Gengras dealership has the car for a week, mechanic will drive it ...basically they know nothing...again if there is no code showing your car is "fine". They know we will be getting an attorney and going to court for hthe car to be declared a lemon. Connecticut has a fairly generous lemon law. I suspect hey are jerking us around until the calendar year changes, the chances of this happening again while the mechanic is driving back and forth to work is slim. Thay did try and see if we had done any modifications they could blame the problem on. Are we glad we never installed the key-less entry system. Except for new plugs, wires and tires the only new stuff we added was exterior.
Will post a picture next time I'm back...I love the Chrome-like do-hickeies that go over the windows so you can crack the window when it's raining and not get wet. Thanks for your help guys I'll keep you posted. FYI to all 2006 is the only year Consumer Report magazine did NOT list the PT as a recommened buy. Anyone thinking about buying a used PT should keep that in mind. Ciao |

Turns out it was the oxygen (O2) sensor for me. Had that changed under warranty, and the problem is gone.

It works on ALL cruisers .....if you do it right.
![]() If you have no codes stored by the computer it will read "done" instead of a code.
