Cruise contoll 07

I have had my new 07 back to the dealer 7 times for the same problem. If I set the cruise at 70 and try to go up a slight grade the speedo drops down 5 mph and feeds in no gas, then the car shifts down in SECOND and revs up to 76mph before it stops or you have to slam on the brake to get it to stop.
I told the zone rep that my 02 does not have this problem. He told me all 07 pt's do this and they will not fix it until they get enough complaints. they also said they can't fix it because it shows no codes.
This is a safety problem for my wife. HELP

My 01 does the exact same thing ...once in awhile. I just considered it a "quirk" and deal with it. I use "cruise" a lot of the time so I know it doesn't happen often, just on steep on long upgrades when the engine thinks it needs more power to catch up to the desired selected speed set by the cruise.

Don't think your going to get satisfaction from the dealer. Ask him for the number of the district Rep. Maybe that will get him to as least look at it.

Agree with Crewzin, my 2006 does it when I go up long grades and my 2002 also did it. I had a Dodge Dakota (2000) that had a 3.9 L, V6 and it also acted like that. The first time it does it, it is a sudden shock to the driver.

The way I eliminated that problem by moving from Michigan to Florida .

I really don't think DC will do anything about it, but you can try.

If I take my 2002 on the same hills it feeds in gas and doesn't down shift?
Also my 02 has more power than the 07?

I went from a 2002 NA to a 2006 NA. My 2006 has more PEP than the 2002 and I had duals, AiRaid filter, replaced both plugs & high performance wires and my 2006, will run rings around it.
