have a 2005 pt non turbo. when i change the oil and filter which is every 3000 miles i have to really crank down on the filter to get it to seal othewise i get a drip. i have changed oil on alot of different cars in my years and have never had to tighten a filter as much as i do on this pt. anyone else have this problem ?

Default Re: changing oil

No problem.
I have had instances where when I take off the old filter, the rubber gasket stays behind - then if you don't notice, and put new filter on, you'll get a leak - now I know to check.
Also, always wipe the gasket of a new filter with new oil before you screw it on.
