optima battery question

Has anyone used the 34R optima battery? I know the PT cruiser needs a 26R, but i want to put a nice performace battery in my car to support my nice stereo system, so my lights dont dim at full power, i have almost 3,000 watts powering it. so i need a nice battery. I know the optimas are the good performace battery out there.

SO has anyone used them with no mods needed?

I have a 2003 pt base model, and i put a k&n air intake in, so i guess the battery could be a little taller if needed!

If you mean the yellow top? I put one in about 2 1/2 years ago and it's great!
I think it's beginning to weaken just a little as I used to be able to run all my neon and lights at a show for 4-5 hrs without a problem. the other night I ran them for only about 3 and it almost didn't start (clik, clik) and then she turned over. I tightened all the connections and will see what happens this Friday night at our weekly cruise in.
I think it's a good investment as I also have about 3k watts + + + all kinds of goodies. I also hated it when the lights dimmed. Doesn't do that any more.

the yellow top fits nicely where the stock battery is. i actually have 2 yellow tops cause of about 5000 watts going the my pt.

could you guys tell me which battery model number you used, so i can see if it will fit in my car? i want to get a optima, but i dont know what one will fit, could you guys tell me what you are using in you cars and how it fits?

Seems my OEM battery is slowly dieing also...

If I go to Napa will they sell me a "34R" Optima and will this fit in my 2001 PT limited. non turbo, with Airaid intake?
