Default Re: optimizer II

To keep this thread current, I contacted Kenne Bell today to inquire into getting it done. My response was verbatim as follows:

"Firstly I'm going to advise that you strongly concider NOT doing anything to your vehicle that will force you to change the fuel and timing curves electronically. Although companies like SCT and Diablo I believe have come out with software to reflash those Dodge ECM's tuning companies have released products like this before and had to retract them soon after due to problems beyond their ability to fix. It may end up turning into something like the Optimizer which was a problem since every unit ended up breaking and with the company who made them being out of business there's no way to repair or replace them. So with the lack of tuning and the little tuning available being very new I'd say give it at least a couple months and do some homework on whether there are any problems with the new tuning products or not. As far as Mods available to you from us, we can't offer you anything. We have long since discontinued all of our PT Cruiser, in fact, all of our Dodge product line years ago.

So for further reference, we no longer have any worthwhile computer options.
