Hello from England, I am a non mechanical female who needs some of you experienced PT owners to give me some advise please, I have an un modified Automatic Touring edition that has just siezed up-I am looking to replace the engine with a no fuss-non turbo-new engine-I have been offered a 2003 engine-but I have read that this may not be good-ECR value, crank sensor, trans wiring and wiring harness are some of the words being used-what does this mean in simplified words-please-thank you in advance

The electrical wiring that controls the engine is different for 2003. as for your crank sensor, the location and sensor are different in the new block. try finding a 01-02 engine, should drop right in no problems.
