Only one thing I can think of: unless you're doing that 95mph on a racetrack, I'd have to suggest easing up on the gas pedal!

sounds like youre out of tune. plugs, wires, fuel and air filters and an oil change, and a good fuel injector cleaner. it may take you a half hour, but youll reach 118 .

Was there a slight incline, a head wind, etc? Doesn't take much to slow the PT down with the aerodynamics of a brick.

there was no speed limit. My friend has a paved road that goes around his land. I live out in the country of NC by the way.

I drive a 5 speed 01 pt. I've heard that you cant reach the speed limiter in an auto. On a couple of... "necessary"... occasions, I have clipped mine . 120 is a bit nerve wracking in something designed to cruise. The PT handles it like a dream. Some nice fat tires and intrax lowering springs, plus soon to be shocks and struts+sway bars make it quite the handler.
