Thermostat gasket leak?
I know I may be using the wrong wording, but I took my PT into the shop today to get inspection and an oil change, I was told that a gasket on my thermostat had a leak...not a "bad" leak just a minor leak because there is some lite corrosion on it etc.... I called the dealership and they said it IS under warranty...I have just at 20,000 miles on the car... bought it new etc...
anyone else run into this problem? thanks in advance!

Could probably be fixed by tightening the bolts on the thermostat housing, but since it's under warranty just let them take it off and put a new gasket on and re-tighten it to specs.
As far as your question. I haven't read about anyone with a leaking thermostat, but I have heard of some going bad, sticking open and having to replace the unit itself.

thanks sir....I will be taking it to the dealership asap just to let them do it....no sense in taking a chance as messing something up i guess ....THANKS A TON
