Default computer plug-in

I've heard about these units you can buy that plug into your car's computer and allows you to change certain things while leaving other stuff as stock. There's an example of this at www.superchips.com, but they don't have one for the PT Cruiser...anybody know of one?
Thanks

What you want is a UTEC (User Tunable Engine Computer). You remove the computer, plug it into UTEC, plug the UTEC in where the computer was and then can use a PC to adjust certain settings while the stock computer maintains the rest. They are widely available for vehicles such as the WRX and Lancer Evo but I have yet to find one for the PT Cruiser. I suspect there's not enough demand.

I talked to the guy at the Superchips booth at Carlisle and he said they were working on one for the PT. He said like their others you will be able to store your stock codes and put them back when or if you need to.

Such a chip I'd look forward to. But I have a feeling it'll be quite some time...my PT is over 3 years old and there's nothing for it at the moment. My STi is nearly a month old and the UTEC is soon to be released.
