Is the improved sound causing you to keep your foot on the loud pedal more often than you used to?

For that matter, how does it sound?

YOU KNOW THE MECHANIC SAYS THE SAME THING BUT I COULD SWEAR IM DRIVING THE SAME WAY. I DO ALOT OF HIGHWAY DRIVING AND AM USALLY IN THE 70-80 MPH RANGE, GUESS I WILL HAVE TO MAKE A EFFORT TO DO 60 -65 FOR A LITTLE WHILE TO SEE BUT I DONT KNOW, IT SOUNDS GOOD BUT I WOULD STILL LIKE A EVEN DEEPER SOUND BUT MIGHT BE ASKING TO MUCH FOR A 4 CYLINDER

Before my duals on the GT I was averaging 16.5 mpg. Now with the duals I get 17.3 mpg. Didn't really change driving habits. If there is open road up a head I nail it to get to the speed limit quick. Just fun to do. Occasional mini race. My driving is almost 100% city and speed limits of 50.

Disconnect your battery for a few minutes to reset the computer OR if you have a scheduled appt with your dealer, ask them to reset/clear the computer back to the base settings. Then the computer will relearn and adjust for the new mod, in this case your exhaust system, and your gas mileage should go back to normal.

Is it any faster? Just louder? If your HP increased a little, might that compensate for the lower mpg?

I assume you got the 50 Series Delta Flow. That's what Flowmaster uses on their standard dual exhaust for the PT. I just put the 40 Standard Series muffler with the stock single pipes and you can't get a much deeper sound out of a 4 banger even in the Turbo. You should have gone with the 40 muffler. (Just my $.02)
