It doesn't say on the first page weather you take the filter out and clean it or have to replace it with one of their new filters. Personally, you still have to take it off and either clean it (messy job) or replace the filter element. You can't keep it on any longer than you would a normal filter, so I'd rather just take the old filter off, trash it and screw the new "paper" filter on. "Why trust your car to a paper filter?" it says. Well millions of us have been doing that for countless years without harm.

It's up to you, but don't do it to save money. I can change more paper filters than the car will ever last and not spend the money they want for that one.

If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is.

well, the last 2.00$ paper filter i saw was a walmart house brand filter, and that wouldnt even be suitable for my lawnmower. something tells me if theyre compareing their filter to that hunk of crap, it probably wont stand up to a good standard oil filter. you want the best, go with a mobil 1 oil filter 9.99$. if you want the 'warm fuzzy' of a 'lifetime guarantee', spend 150$.

interestin reading on the subject if youre interested.
