[?]As an aside to this question, does anyone have an preference on either the Borla/Mopar dual exhaust or the BTG one? I'm looking to upgrade and my considerations are ease of installation, and access to the spare.

Thanks all
The Borla will allow access to the spare but the BTG recommends that you to drop or unhook the right side hanger for spare access.

At Cruz the Glen I saw two good mufflers head for the scrap heap. Contact Maggie at Race and Street and ask her to save you one. I have heard there are ways to make the stock muffler soung real mellow.

Well, I got my MagnaFlow system yesterday: http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/c...s/chrysler.htm It came shipped in a cardboard coffin (!) and was well protected. LOOKS GREAT!!

I plan on installing it in my driveway next week and share all that fun-ness with you all.

OK OK I couldn't wait...

My friends Bill, Paul & I installed it last night in less than 2 hours. Tools required:

1 Floor Jack
4 Jack Stands
WD40
BFH or 2
Persuation Bar

I took pics too [?] and will post soon.

Magnaflow is a 2.25" s/s system with mirror-polished resonator, muffler and 4" tip. Resonator really quiets down the straight-through muffler sound. Compared with other systems I've herd, I think this one is the most "mellow". No booming sound at freeway speeds with windows up or down. Bill & Paul were a bit upset that it wasn't louder (they race CRX(s) in SCCA where open exhaust is the norm) but admired how easily the thing went in.

Original system was in good shape even after 2 Wisconsin winters (read: road salt). OEM muffler is huge compared to Mag. While muffler portion is being tossed, cat-back pipe is still good (not torched up) and may find a second life under one of thre CRXs []. Is that legal???

I'll be back with more...

Looks like a nice system, Stephen. But alas I think I've finally decided to plop some money down on the duals.....Does ANYONE know where i can get the BTG duals for under $500? Or is PT-Tuning the only place I can get them? That's a lot of money[:0]
