hello, im trying to find out whats wrong with my pt. had it 1 year now
at first it chugged going up a hill , now it chuggs until i reach 55 .
since all this , now when i start it sounds like its going to take off without even putting any gas to it and the brakes wont go to the floor they are very hard to push. and sitting at an idle it chuggs and jerks
can anyone help?

What kind of maintenance have you done since buying. Do you have any maintenance history fom before you owned.
Plugs and Plug wires would be a good place to start. Champion Double-Platinum plugs and Crane Wires (from Race & Street) would be a great place to start, especially if the OEM wires are still in place. They are no good. Put in an K&N drop-in air filter unless you want to spend a few more bucks on a Cold AIr Intake system.

Let us know more of the history if you have it.

You need to check the vacuum hose that goes from the brake booster to the intake manifold. Sounds like it's disconnected, or cracked or split.

Agree with both of the previous posters. I hear 2 problems - the idle and breaks. Try the 2 recommendations.

thanks 37plymouth it was the vacuum lines (pinched),still has the chug ,but at least i'm up and running again .
