I have put an 02 motor out of a neon that the book said wouldnt fit into a 97 neon
he is right use the intake and exhaust off the old motor and you will be fine while your at it replace the front and rear main inspect the pan gasket replace if necesary and replace the timing belt and water pump. esentially you want to do all the crappy jobs that would suck in the car now is the time and it is cheaper to do now I am not positive on the duel overhead cam but on the single there is a tsb on the cam seals and the chrystler dealer has a retainer for them cause the poped out on the 2.0s check with the chrystler parts guy he will know. these retainers are cheap less than $10 |
